While you are exploring, and looking for a spiritual home, we want you to feel as comfortable as possible at St. George’s. In the spirit of hospitality and welcoming, we offer the following:

Greeters

Every Sunday a parishioner Greeter is on duty to welcome you, and to assist you with information about our church and activities. If the Newcomer Greeter doesn’t connect with you, look for the person with the red name tag!

Coffee Hour and Bagel Sundays

On Sunday after the 8:15 am and 10 am service, we get together downstairs in Thompson Hall, to mix and mingle with old and new friends over coffee and tea. On the 1st Sunday of the month join us for bagels, coffee, tea and socializing, between the 8:15 and 10 am services.

Infant and Toddler Nursery

A bright and cheerful nursery is available for your use.

Sunday School

At the 10 a.m. service each Sunday, children (age 3 and up) start the service with their families in church, then go downstairs with their teachers for our children’s program.

Social Events and Fun

We offer a variety of social events so parishioners can get acquainted and welcome Newcomers into the life of our church. These events include dinners, parties, games nights, theatre outings – all kinds of celebrations. You will see notices of these events in the weekly bulletin and on this website.
We also host Newcomer Socials, which are held as we see a need. They are a great opportunity to get to know people socially, and have questions answered in a relaxed setting. The next New Comers evening is October 29at 7pm.

Spiritual Life and Growth

We offer several opportunities for spiritual exploration and growth and for learning more about who God is and how God is involved in our lives. We gather to worship on Sunday mornings and Wednesday mornings.  We also offer special worship services throughout the year, such as children’s services, Evensong, Eucharist/Communion.  We gather for weekly Bible study,  book studies, and regular opportunities for quiet days and retreats. We also offer the Education for Ministry program. The next retreat is October 22 at 9am

Ministry Team

Our Clergy and team of readers, deacon and clerical assistants are here to answer your questions about worship traditions, Anglican liturgy, and the sacraments. Don’t hesitate to approach any of them with your questions.
We want you to feel at home with us. If there is anything we can do to help make that happen, please let us know!
